Passenger side Air pump sound ? ? ?

Hi does anyone know what part is next to the starter relay in the engine compartment (passenger side) that sounds like a air pump? I have a 2000 F-350 7.3

It's the vacuum pump for the 4x4 hubs and control of the air vents.

Hi I have manual hubs so I'm guessing that does not apply to me. My electric door locks not work very well could this pump be the issue? I have never heard that pump on any other 7.3?

they do get noisy sometimes when they're crapping out or so. btw no your door locks get worn out on the inside, theres a way to fix them and a wwrite up on here about it somewhere.

Yes, the pump still applies to you, it's for your HVAC system in the truck. Without the pump, your heater would be stuck on defrost all the tine.

You need new door lock actuators.
