injector install 01 7.3

hey im new here, im putting new injectors in my 01 7.3 and was wondering if anyone has any pictures and info on how to install these in your garage, i havent found any pics of a complete removal and install or even a video so any help would b great, thx

there are a few pics/vids in teh7.3 tech section, and also a few on you tube. also might contact Marty, he made several vids but a week or two ago i was unable to access them, he may have a few for you.

It is really easy. Remove valve covers.

Remove valve cover wiring.

Take off the aluminum oil passage on each injector held down with a hex head

Remove the bolt on each injector closest to the exhaust manifold

Then just pop out injectors.

Remember to suck all the oil and fuel out of the cylinder before re installation.

arent the rail hex plugs between the injectors? two each side?

you may already know, but change your glows while your in there. Motorcraft ZD11 only. no autolites.

When you reinstall the injectors, don't hook them up yet, pull the glow plugs and do a few tap starts to blow the oil out.
