Need new engine

Hi Im a new to the forum, Im thinking about picking up a 02 F 250 that needs a motor. can any one recomend where I can get a good long block.

are you wanting a new LB or would a used one work?

i know LB's you can get for about $3k at some places, but ill leave that to the guys who have had expirience with the companies.

really depends on if you want new or used. if you want used try here: Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market . its a website that has most salvage yards in the US.

Do a search for Tidewater, in Norfolk, Va. I don't have any experience personally but there was a couple threads about them on here or PSN. The prices seemed good for what they are building, just athought.

If you can believe what they say in the description, it looks like a good deal to me. I think Tidewater/Blackwater are the same.

Yea maybe I'm not as big a dumba-- as I thought. Seriously tho after what I've heard about them may not be a bad way to go if ( KNOCK ON WOOD ) the time comes. I don't know if a guy could do it much cheaper.
