have a wierd boost noise, not sure were to start
since i have installed the intake ive noticed that under partial throttle i get what sounds like backed up boost pressure. from what i have read it seems it comes from the boost control valve in the pedestal. if im under full throttle and let off just a little you can really hear it. what causes this? is it bad? how can i fix? im planning on installing a ww,non-ebv pedestal and porting the turbo were i can.

more reading shows that it may be the turbo solenoid. are failures common for these?

That sounds like your intake just tryin to keep up with your turbo to me. What intake did you install?

If it sounds like that, it's turbo surge & a wicked wheel took care of it for me.

will sound better too |

Boost surge for sure, wicked wheel will solve it. Short intakes don't work well with some turbo's.

so today i noticed the noise alot. ive heard surge before and this has me stumped. the boost gauge jumps around alot right around 20psi.if i back off and get into it again i can make it go away. if it is surge its BAD.
