when i ordered mine the 6 speeds had a higher hp rating & thats why the 2002 year had a cat
my buddy had a 2002 auto 7.3L built after mine by four months & no cat
i also talked to the fleet manager & got the info on the cats

Your fleet manager told you that the 6 speeds had a higher HP rating, and that's why they had cats?
