Its a 2001 f350 xlt extended cab, short bed 4x4. It has 220k miles and a recently rebuilt trans. There is a dent in the drivers door but doesn't look too bad at all. And the ac doesn't work but it doesn't sound like it should be too hard to fix. My truck is a f150 lariat 125k miles 4x4 offroad. Leather, etc. Ext cab short bed. We would trade straight up. What are some things to check out on it before doing the deal? Where should I take it to check it out, etc?

id do it! that 350 will have a D60. IMHO, even with a few dents and leaks its well worth the even trade. check the turbo fins for damage. and it might have forged rods...
