Transmission question

Will a 5 speed zf from a early 94 7.3 turbo pre powerstroke fit on a late 99 powerstroke?

Depends on what parts you have... the bell housing pattern should be the same, so the whole bell housing/trans/transfer(if applicable) assembly should fit behind it... some re drilling of holes for cross members might be nessasarry, but in the words of my friend Jason (that has become our motto), "It all fits..." with enough time, money, parts and tools...

However, is swapping in a non-stock tranny and all sh!t that goes with it really worth it? That is the question only you can really answer. All we can give is opinions.

Yeah I've put many auto into standards trucks and standards in auto trucks but all gassers. I didn't know if same bolt pattern on bell housing or not from non powerstroke 7.3 to powerstroke 7.3. That's all I'm no stranger to one size fits all victor wrench or Lincoln fasteners. Thanks for the help
