Door Dinger Alarm

Is there any way to disable the door dinger alarm? That is the most annoying thing sometimes! lol

I did mine by removing the ignition lock cylinder and then remove the little clip thingy of of the cylinder that rides on the key. Then reinstall the ignition lock. Done, no more dinger. All you do is locate the little poke hole under the steering column and stick a skinny object like an ice pik in there, turn the key and poke and pull it out.

In my old GMC, it was just a box type relay looking thing by the firewall that you could just pull out.

I tried looking on this truck to disable mine. I didn't try too hard, but the box that makes the noise is inside the dash in the panel below the steering column if you want to poke around in there. IIRC it's on the left hand side.

X2 on the gray clip on the ignition. Takes 2 mins. It's easy.

you can pull the fuse for it. might wanna check what else is on the fuse b4 pullin it tho. im 14,000 miles from my truck so i cant really check for you

Thanks guys! I just took the black clip off and it took like 5 minutes or less. Really easy to do.

do yalls not have one long beeeep if you open a door open then stop beeping all together? Mine only beeps when the truck is off and the lights are on or the key is in the ignition. otherwise if a door opens it just beeps one longer been and thats it.

The obs door dingers are really annoying to me. and they never stop.
