What should I look for?

Hey y'all I've always been a Chevy guy, had about half a dozen Chevy trucks over the years. Current ride is a 1500 Z71 and I like it but I'd like sumn a lil bigger with better towing capabilities cuz I'll be towin me n my buddy's trucks to car shows. My gf comes from a Ford family and her daddy's got an 08 6.4 n he's always givin me crap tellin me real men don't wear bowties lol.

Anyway, I'm looking for a 99-03 F250 or 350 with the 7.3 in it and I was wondering if there were any problems I should look for. Mileage don't scare me cuz I know these things will last. I know the problems the 6.0s have and I didn't know if I needed to look for anything specific with the 7.3. I'll be browsing around looking for an answer to my question, just thought I'd go ahead and ask

First thing you should do and wish I would have done is, leave the truck running and take the oil cap off. A slight amount of white steam like smoke is ok, but a hard puff of white is bad , like mine) and you should run the other way.

Ok well I found my truck! My buddy's dad just moved to FL so he's selling his house here in NC. I had already been thinkin about buyin his house when I found out he hadn't taken his truck to FL & was selling it also. I asked how much he wanted for both and he said if I paid what he was asking for the house, he'd give me the truck

I've checked the truck out and it seems solid, but to be honest, I'm not lookin a gift horse in the mouth lol.

It's a black 99 crew cab short bed 4x4 7.3 sittin on 35s. It has a lil over 220k on the odometer and I couldn't be happier. Me and the wife are goin to the bank next week so I'll let y'all know & try n get some pics up
