Trans Temp Gauge Erratic
I have the ISSPRO EV 3 gauge kit from Diesel Manor and my transmission temperature gauge is acting up. It seemed to work fine for the first few months, but then started reading high. The gauge needle starts between 120 and 140 even after the truck has sat overnight. It seems the "baseline" cold temperature of the gauge has shifted to around 130 which causes the running temperature to read higher than it should (and I know the tranny is not as hot as the gauge states)
I read about and tried to use di-electric grease on the sensor instead of silicone, but this did not change anything. All grounds and wires in the control box are intact. What am I missing? I'm starting to think I have a bad gauge or control box. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |

I just recently had a problem with my Isspro EV 1 trans temp gauge. It wasn't doing the same as yours, but all of a sudden the needle would start to jump at times. I contacted the dealer I purchased it from, and they contacted Isspro. Within a week, I had a complete new gauge, control box, and sending unit. So far so good, but I haven't driven it much yet.
If I were you, I would contact Diesel Manor. I'm sure Isspro will take care of you. They took care of me. |

Update....I called Diesel Manor and the guy I talked to was very helpful. He emailed me a troubleshooting guide and stated that the gauges were still under warranty and the trans temp gauge would be replaced if I cannot fix the issue. You have to respect that type of customer service.
