Electrical Problem, please help
I posted on another thread about this but it seems everyone is overlooking it, if you can help please do I really appreciate it.
My instrument cluster died along with my power mirrors and windows, when you turn the key off relay #2 trips and continues doing so every 1/2 second. With the key on the #2 relay clicks very fast. Now when you push and hold the door lock/unlock switch everything comes alive, I can control windows and mirrors and all the gauges work fine. As soon as you let go it dies again. Came to an earlier conclusion the problem was the GEM module. I got ahold of a refurbished GEM and installed it today..... Well no luck all the problems are still there. Anyone have any suggestions? Non of my fuses are blown and the truck starts and drives fine. |

Ok, nevermind, just fixed the problem, to anyone else having similar problems check by your parking brake, right infront of the brake on the kick panel there is a wire, believe it was green with a pink stripe, that is a ground for your GEM module, this wire is not routed correctly by the factory and when the parking brake is released it rubs on the wire, well I guess one day when I released the brake it ripped the wire out of the ground terminal. Simple easy wire repair but caused so much headache.
