help help help!

im needing another alternator...#4 in 6 months!!! why do they go out so quickly what am i doing wrong!!! all connections are snug, no cracks on the alt housing. what is going on and how can i fix it and salvage the one on there now thats only putting out 12.8 volts!

Check the grounds around the fan shroud. There is a TSB on it.

replace your batteries. If your batteries are less than adequate, your alternator will be extra strained to be giving them power.

batteries are new ive done 2 sets of them. the problem with the batteries holding like 12.8 started again this morning. i drove a mile and a half to school went to class and came out and my truck is DEAD. i get nothing when i turn the key on. the batteries arent charging at all and now im stuck.
