degenerates took my baby . . . what do I do now?

So, my truck was stolen from me at gunpoint last week. still no word. I heard they've been using 3/4 and 1 ton trucks to perform crimes like stealing safes and atm's then ditching them . . . . I've also heard they've been dragging them out of the rio grande one after another as a result of drug-running. either way, I'm not expecting to see her ever again. . . sniff, sniff.

my question is: do I go back and try to find another 7.3L, the best truck i've ever had, or move on and get a 6.4? It took me 4-5 months to find the truck they just took from me, and that was when I had a set of wheels and could take my sweet time. . . .I don't have the same luxury now. Are the 6.4s performing well enough? Can I be confident I could get 400-500K miles out of a 6.4 like I was with the 7.3L? (I was at 210K, with no end in sight when they took it)

any advice would be much appreciated.

I'd say find a 6 leaker that has had the EGR, headgaskets, and headstuds done.

I just sold my 6.4 and Im driving a 7.3. Take that for what its worth. There will be a few 6.4's going 400k but they will be few and far between. My mechanic said the 6.0's are holding up better then the 6.4's will. The 6.4's are very tempermental when it comes to maintenance and fuel quality. A teaspoon of water can destroy the motor. Check the back lot of your local dealer before you buy one.

I like my 6.4 a lot, but they do have their share of problems. Some of which are serious. Sorry about your truck, I definitely would have had a gun right back in their face if they were trying to steal my truck.
