First Post/First powerstroke/maybe

I found an early 99 F250 4x4 PSD, supercab LB,6spd,XL with 146000 mls and the asking price is $13000.00.It is pretty clean and dry underneath,I have not heard it run yet I just saw it at a dealer and looked it over and under. It is a west texas truck with a ball in the bed so it's been jerking a goose.I'm going back to listen and drive maybe,if it runs strong good deal or no.Radar

Seems like a pretty good deal, as long as it runs and sounds fine. check for oil leaks, ext.

Let me be the fist to say Welcome. I would say 11 to 11,5 out the door, Depeding on what kinda shape its in

Nada BLACK book, (the book dealers use to find prices) Is 9350 for perfect shape.. So if the price is 13 there trying to make a 3650 dollar profit. I would make sure it is in great shape and start to talk them, Always worth a shot.

Yeah, that dont sounds too bad. Take it out, see how it runs. You can also get an Oasis report run on it. That is a report from Ford that tells the history of the vehicle as long as it was done at a dealer. Always a good idea to get one of those before you buy one. I had a 2000 6spd and it was a great truck. Take it out on the road and your gut will tell ya more about the truck than anything. See if ya have a good feeling about it. Offer 11k and see where it goes from there. Maybe they will throw in a free service too

And to the ORG

Thanks Guys, looks like the 99 is a no go.It did not want to go in to 2nd gear and the motor had a knock and idle I didn't like, and the filter box was packed with dirt.I took the air filter box lid off and put my hand in the air inlet tube and not much of a suction.I'll keep looking, not in any hurry.I will say it seems that there are alot of good people on this forum. Thanks again
