Just finished the 05 grille install in my 2000 model

I bought an aftermarket 05 grille(looks identical to a stock Ford one) for $150 though a buddy that works at a body shop. I thought at first I'd got in over my head because it requires a LOT of measuring and cutting. Basically you've gotta cut 1.5" off the bottom of the grille right though the middle of the chrome. Anyway I used an air powered cut off wheel and made my initial cut then when back with the scotchbrite discs to smooth it up the best I could, then I used black wire loom over the bottom edge when I installed it so you couldn't see the rough edge. Looks 10X better than my stock grille did!

I'll get some after my Ford emblem gets here for the grille, didn't realize my 2000 model one wouldn't transfer over.
