need advice on buying a 7.3L

im currently looking to buy my first diesel,and i need some help. i know i want the 7.3L motor. but im not sure on how high i should go up on the mileage when buying one. should i be looking for something under 100k or is it ok to look for something over that mileage. thanks

Under 200,000 they usually have a lot of life left in them. I'm currently looking for one, and keep finding the occasional one past 400,000, and up to 550,000, without a rebuilt.

I'm trying to stay under 175,000. If you drive a lot, I would try for lower miles, but wouldn't pay much extra for it.

Normal maintenance stuff.

Be warned, the maintenance on a Diesel is much more expensive than a gasser.

Plus, usually you don't have to do much with the engine, but rather, things like ball joints, wheel bearings, sway bar links, tie rod ends, tranny fluid, coolant, etc...
