About to make an offer...
Good evening gents...
I need some help. I'm about to make an offer on a 2000 350 in upstate NY. It is the EXACT truck I have been looking for, for about 2 years. They're asking 10,950, but its got 220k on it. According to them its from the south, so I'm assuming its mostly highway miles. The thing is practically mint, minus a center cap. I was going to offer 9k since the milage is that high. Assuming the carfax/oaisis/whathaveyou checks out, should I be really worried about the high miles? My buddy's early 99 of very similar spec is going to be rebuilt and its at 240k right now. I dont really want to drop this kind of money if it's going to need a complete overhaul in 6 months. Any help or opinions is welcome. Thanks guys. |

Find out if the trans has been rebuilt. That's the first order of business.
But, as reference, I paid $8700 for my '99 with 150k on it a coupe months ago. |
