2-Stroke Oil vs. PS, Lucas, ETC.

Is anyone using 2 stroke oil vs. additives like Lucas, Power Service, Etc in their 7.3. If so have the results with the oil been better than the additives. I currently use Lucas and it works ok. It helps out the milage some when filling up with USDL. Just figured that the oil may be better. Any thoughts?

Everything I've read tells me ATF and 2-cycle are BAD NEWS in these trucks. IMHO just stick to the additives.

I've heard that ATF is over rated as well.
