Knocking at idle HELP!!
My early 99 7.3L has been making a terrible knock at idle. The knock is louder when the truck is in drive while idling than it is in park idling. The truck doesn't stumble, no lose of power, no un-normal smoke, and the truck idles smooth. I do notice that I can hear the knock from the front of the truck (face in the grill) also on the drivers side and passenger side wheel wheels. When I go under the truck towards the TQ converter I cant hear it very much. I just want this crap fixed the knock is very annoying!!!
I have read that I could be the flex plate? does it seem correct with all the symptoms?
