help with 7.3

I have a 06 6.0 f250 and I am sick of it I used to have a 7.3 but never modded it I was stupid to sell it well now I want to get back into 7.3 obs or nbs I need some help because I have being doing some research but dont know much about 7.3 I want a high hp engine that will last I was thinking of buying a high mile 7.3 putting 35s no special interior and putting a new engine maybe the black mamba but have heard different things to do what would be the best idea I am kinda stuck and I have 30k to spend on the whole thing any help would be nice and please no use search button commits I have searched and now I am stuck thank you again

buy a 99 or 2000 for 10k to 15k add a 38r and some 238s and you will be in the 500 ish HP range. next get a BTS trans (if auto) and you will have a good solid truck. BTS is about $4k turbo/injector combo about $4k so you will be under your 30k mark.

If you get a 2001-2003 you will need to put forged rods in there or find a forged motor to put in there. cost for that is all over the board depending on who has what. Figure maybe 5k for the motor and rebuild.

I have a 2001 ext cab, with a 7.3 I am looking to sell CHEAP. 277k miles but runs better then my new Crew Cab.
