2k F250 flashing abs light and overdrive light with loss of speedo

My buddy just called and has a 2000 F250 powerstroke. He called and said that all of a sudden his abs light, and overdrive light started flashing as well as his speedo stopped working. It will flash and not work for 10-15 min or so at a time and then it will all of a sudden start working again. What would cause this to happen?

It's the rear abs sensor .
