99.5+ airbox fit an early 99?

I need to replace my screwed up early 99 factory air cleaner assembly and i have one off of a 2000 so i am wondering if it will work or if there is enough difference that it wont. Thanks

a airbox from a late 99 will not fit an early 99 as the early pulls from the fender take it off get a 4in piece of pipe and slap a tymar on it and be done

Just for future reference, the 99.5+ airbox does fit and bolt in perfectly into the early 99 trucks without ANY modifications whatsoever. I just did it without problem in about 10 minutes. Thanks

agree...why? do a DIY and more air better filtering. but yea the late 99 will fit in ours but ours will not fit in a 99.5 also draws air from diff spot so even worse air flow.

Because i am selling the truck and it has/had an aftermarket ford extreme duty in it and i swapped that into my 2000. Thanks
