Gauge shows not charging

I have a 1999 Ford F350. It started to show on the gauge that it was not charging. I replaced both batteries. Still the same reads aboyt 11 amps on the gauge. So I replaced the alt with a new one not rebuilt still the same reading on the gauge Can some one help me solve this problem.

Did you check with a multimeter to make sure the guage is right?

That was going to be my guess
