well, lets see...a spare cps is always a good thing, and yep..a belt, cause if that sucka breaks you ain't going anywhere. You want to carry the tools needed to put it on. Myself, I also carry a 1/4" drive metric socket set under the seat...handiest little tool set I ever bought!..also, from experience here...that high pressure hose going from the power steering pump to the boost block...might carry one of those just for schyts and giggles. If that goes, not only can you NOT steer it...you lose your BRAKES as well...took a real genius at Ford to come up with THAT dandy. Had one literally blow off the end...talk about a sudden rise in the Pucker Factor! Other than that..a qt of tranny fluid, a couple of oil..you can't cover everything that could possibly strand you on the side of the road, but some of the more common things. Don't make sense to load up a small parts store in your rig...if its that undependable..ya got the wrong rig.

it is a good idea to make sure you have a 1/4" and 1/2" socket set. also metric and standard wrenches (along with a cam shaft sesor). i have used basically all those tools the past month between taking my alternator off 2 times in a month at the auto parts store and dong cam shaft sesor surgury on the side of the highway.
