turbo blowing off sounds like a wastegate problem maybe????

Hi i have a 2000 7.3 i have the edge evolution programmer installed and usually just run around on the tow mode setting. My concern is when i have the truck wide open and im running it pretty hard the turbo blows off multiple times when shifting through gears? Any help will be great!! Thanks

the whoosh noise? thats just the extra air the turbo dumps back out the intake.. no BOV on a diesel.. its normal.. especially if you have a DIY intake you hear it alot more. btw ditch the edge it'll toast your tranny..even superchips tune the tranny some. edge does nothing. Custom tuning will be best though..
