Pulling the transmission

i am putting a new torque converter in this week and was wondering the best (less stressful) way to go about pulling the transmission and installing the torque converter.

i also will be putting in a new rear main and a pump seal.

Remove the torque converter inspection cover, then spin the motor over by hand and unbolt the flexplate from the torque converter. Then unbolt everything, strap it to the jack and bring it down. Get a good tranny jack, leave the transfer case attached. It will balance perfect with it attached. You need some real long extensions to get the upper bolts on top of the tranny from back by the transfer case.

it is easier to get to the top by letting the motor and tranny rock back a lil bit just be careful or your fan will end up in your rad put a jackstand under your oil pan with a board on top then let it all down
