winsheld washer and wipers gone haywire

ok my truck got wet inside from leaving the windows down.every time i start the truck now my washer and wipers run for about a minute and shut off. everything on my turn signal switch works exept for the washer button.ok here is my question do you think the switch is bad. i have my doubts because if the truck is running and i pull the fuse and than replace it it does nothing the washer pump doesnt come on.i would think think if something in the switch was shorted out when i repace the fuse and power the switch back up they would run a cycle like it does when u start the truck up. if i pull the fuse or unplug the turn signal switch they dont come on when i start the truck up. is there any kind of module or anything else that may control the washer and wipers that is cycling them when i turn the key on. i just hate to spend 130 dollars on a switch just to find out it is something else. any help on this strange thing that is happening to my truck would be great thank you very much for any help. the truck is a 2003 f250 7.3 crew cab 4x4
