Am I Doomed?

I noticed my truck is june of 98! So it's like a REAL early 99??
Should I not even bother adding any aftermarket items for performance as it will just chug chug BOOM!?!?

Nothing wrong with a early 99... Forged rods, no surge turbo... They are lacking in Big HP numbers once you start adding to them. Smaller HPOP, smaller injectors and a smaller turbo hurt you, but once you start going for the bigger numbers your going to change them out anyway.

Mod away! I had a Early 99, traded it off with 270,000

i say your better off, you get the forged rods. after the chip, intake, exhaust the next stages performance wise involve injectors, turbo, and HPOP getting replace anywho.

No

There is nothing wrong with the early 99's. My friend has one and it will run with a later one all day long.

Smile Nice Truck

I also have an early 99. It has plenty of power and I really like it. I have a 7,000lb travel trailer and it don't even know it's back there. Just relax and enjoy the ride!!!!!
