Scheduled maintenance?

Well I know it's time to change my oil and filter so...what oil and filters do yall prefer on your PSD?...Also, my truck has 165,000 miles, what other scheduled maintenance should I be doing with that kind of miles? I'm trying to keep the ol' truck running good

Thanks

I use rotella 15w40 and napa gold(wix) filter.

If you have never you might want to check your serpentine belt, ilder pulley, tensioner assy, and coolant hoses. Probably wouldnt hurt to flush your coolant system either. Do you have an auto or manual. 2x4 or 4x4. Probably would hurt to change the fluids in the front and rear ends and tranny. Although if you have an auto and never changed the filter/fluid I would not recomend doing it now. Check your ball joints and wheel bearings. you can do that by doing the shake test. Probably would hurt the grease the front end while you are under there.

Just a few things I can think of.

I use the Rotella 15W40, and stay with the factory Motorcraft filter.

Purolator makes excellent filters: Premium oil filter is about $18.95 @ Autozone. Heads up on Fram air filters: If you are changing the stock unit, the Fram is $89.95 but the STP is $74.95. The Diff? None except for Fram's fancy box. Both have the same P/N tag with identical #s on the body (made by Purolator I think).
