The drips

How difficult is it to replace the pinion seal on my truck? Its been leaking for a while and its time to take care of it. Any thoughts??? Rod

not hard at all. Remove the driveshaft off the pinion yoke. Remove the pinion nut. Can't remember what size it is and it will be tight! A puller will be your best bet removing the yoke. You don't want to beat it with a hammer cause you can weaken it. pop the old seal out. Put the new seal in. put the yoke on. Here you can use a block of wood to place on yoke the tap the yoke on. the wood will absorb the impact. put the nut on which can also be used to draw the yoke down. Torque the nut (can't remember the spec) and replace driveshaft.
