Fuel bowl help

i broke the FPR on the top drivers side of the fuel bowl. I was snugging the line and it broke clean off. So i need to know a ford part number incase I cant find it anywhere else. Also when i changed the fuel filter I removed the spring loaded piece inside the fuel bowl that puts pressure on the filter. I was told it will help flow a little bit more fuel by a guy at the performance shop that swears by this mod and has a youtube video and write up about it...could this be why my fuel bowl isnt filling? Im having trouble getting fuel to the fuel pump to prime and keep runing
