international up-pipes said to leak

So I talked to a guy at DI about there up-pipes, which are on back order for 4 months. Mine are leaking pretty bad. I need them soon. DI said the international pipes that are if u ever take them apart after the first install they will leak. Has anyone heard of this. I dont won't to spend 450$ on something thats a one time deal. Are they just sayin this so i wait and purchase theres.

Good question, I've got to put a set on my 99.

I think international did away with the donut which was where it leaks at, Sooooo I would think that there would not be a problem if removed and reinstalled.

Hope someone that has a set will chime in on this I would like to know myself.

Maybe you need to replace the little gasket they use every time you take them apart and put them back together? Maybe I'm on glue, but your talking about the bellowed pipes with the thin gasket rather than the donut?

Im talking about the bellowed pipes. My pipes are cut so i cant just install the donut gaskets. The guy at DI said that they had made changes from the factory international design.
