how to program a key fob

I just got my key fob in the mail and it came with the wrong instructions. Can someone tell me how to program it? Thanks

Look in the owners manual it has instructions. It is very easy to do.

For some reason I think you can put the key in the ignition and tun the key on and off till the door locks cycle. I believe it should work after that but it has been awhile. Think it is like 6-8 times and the door locks should cycle then try your remote.

yeah get in the truck lock the doors turn the key to the on off position 8 times and then they will unlock, then press the lock button on the fob and the doors should lock and it will be programed...pretty sure but could be wrong...

well thats what i did last night minus locking the doors before i turned the key. so i will try again here in a few min

well i tried it again and i got in the truck locked the doors. turned from run to off 8 times and the doors never came unlocked?? and the new remote still isnt working

ok well i finally got it. in case some one searches this in the future. i locked and unlocked the doors on the driver side with the door switch. then i put the key in and went on and off 8 times (my trucks a stick and i didnt flip the switch thing that lets the key out. i think this is the part i was doing wrong) and then the doors locked and unlocked on there own then i hit lock on both of the fobs i have and we were good to go. i hope this helps someone in the future
