Fuel fill up
Today I filled up my PSD. As usual, I stuck the nozzle into the tank and set it on auto. When the pump stopped, I let it settle down for about 20 seconds and then added more fuel into the tank by manually squeezing the lever at about one third of the normal flow rate. By the time the tank was truly full and I could see fuel a few inches from overflowing out of the fuel tank gate I had actually added a whopping seven extra gallons.
It tells me that if I want to get an accurate manual mileage calculation that is the way I have to fill the tank. |

yeah, its definately strange when they will and wont kick on.. Just half arsing around I have added at least 2-3 in mine. so you wonder how much your fill ups are varying.. I guess just keep your milage and average it, using that as your number.. still kinda a pita thought.
Im used to my old chevy with a tank I put in the bed.. its like filling a drum. its full when you look straight into fuel sloshing on the neck. no wondering. |
