well i had to haul my father-in-laws ranger last night, went to drop my dads trailer back off and drive and 2nd slip extreme bad but i have reverse and 1st working good. what do you guys think im gonna start pricing a rebiuld here.
I think you better find an investment with QUICK returns! I went thru a lot of trannies, mostly Ford remanufactured ones, before I had a shop build mine. I am very pleased. Nice not to worry about it anymore. I'm running two coolers on it and it is staying out of the high temps now! :thumb: Keep 'em cool and they will stay with you a long time!
If you have the 4R100 Automatic in your truck. I just had to have mine rebuilt a couple month back it was $2600.00. They did some modifications and used a billet torque converter to make it stronger. They gave me a 2 year warranty on it.
Well it looks like my truck is warning me to take it easy and to save for the tranny. Jumped in started it up and took it for a ride, it didn't slip at all. So I hope I can take it easy long enough to get the tranny rebuilt
