ac problems
so my truck has been having some ac problems back and forth... i can hear the clutch in the compressor kick off and on ALL of the time. sometimes it gets cold and others it doesnt...? i have already replaced the compressor twice. and it looks like the clutch is about to go again. does anyone have any ideas? sorry this isnt more specific

Try removing one of the shims on the clutch. They expand with heat and sometimes make too much of a gap. Remove one at a time and just check it after each one to see if it helps.

what shims would you be talking about? and the shim would cause it to kick off and on?

My mistake. It is actually on the compressor. Not the clutch itself.

oh ok. ya i dont know what is causing it to go off and on. and like i said when its cold its cold. i just wanna get it figured out before it starts getting super hot out. but i know all fords click it off and on every now and again

Yeah, that has to do with those shims. But when they get hot they expand too much and doesn't let it click back on. Same thing happened to my buddies last week and that was the issue.
