Oil consumption, 1.5 qts per 1000 miles..

As the title says, my rig is eating oil, it doesnt leak a drop so obviously its burning it. I have 130k miles and it runs like a raped ape, sounds perfect and doesnt blow an blue smoke. i figure as dirty as these 7.3's are its hard to tell from looking at the exhaust or smelling it.. any thoughts?

i'll get back to you later. i have a few remedies but i forgot! i'll talk to the guys in the shop today. what i would do if i were you, i'd just change it with a decent pretty cheap oil, then just put a quart in every 1000 miles. if its burning it, your gonna have to tear into it to fix it most likely.

I know that my dad's 96 PSD didn't use any oil until he ran Rotella then it started to use about 2-3 quarts every oil change. Just a FYI

I have 320000 with about 2qt every 5000 miles with Delo, Rotella was a littel over 3qts. 130000 miles is nothing for that truck.

I don't buy that. I've been running Rotella for some time now and I haven't had to add oil between changes. I'm at 165,000. I'm a little over mileage on this change and I checked Sunday. It's still right at the line.
