Please help with HIGH EGT's

Ok I need some help with truck in sig. I have high EGT issues with my truck both unloaded and loaded. I tow a 5500 lb TT. I have changed every fluid exept diff fluid. New fuel filter, Air filter is good only has about 6000 miles on it. I have checked up pipes there is no soot. Did a boost leak test today, no leaks. Last week data loged with AE while towing and nothing was abnormal. What else can I check? I can hit 1200+ with no problems. I am not able to use full potential of truck because of this. Any ideas?

I can hit 1200 pretty easy in mine too with no tune (stock truck) and no load. I'm usually at pretty close to WOT and if I'm going up a hill then it hits REALLY quick.

I think you can do a meth/water injection to lower EGT's from what I've read.

Or you could try throwin a 6.0l intercooler in there I would think the water injection would make more of a differance though.

With the tuner, probably. Someone told me they hit 1700 at WOT with their tunes.

i was having real bad EGT problems, turned out most of it was caused by a weak waste gate controller, modded it and my temps are a lot cooler loaded or unloaded

i would say something is def wrong with your truck if you can hit 1200 unloaded on a stock truck
