Questions on Routine Maintenence

Whats going on guys? I finally found the truck i'm getting. Its a 2000 F-350, crewcab. Awesome truck with low miles. I'm very mechanically inclined however I am new to diesels/trucks. What do I need to know for this truck to keep it in mint condition (Mechanically)? Whats the best oil? Best filters? How often are you guys changing your oil? How often are you changing fuel filters? Trans fluid / filters? Are there fuel additives you use? ETC...


I'm looking for guys who are very meticulous with their trucks. I just want this thing to last for a while and do whatever is needed to keep it up. I know keeping up with routine maintenence is the major key.

me personally i run john deere heavy duty oil and baldwin filters and the fuel filter i get from napa i change my oil ever 6,000 to 7,000 and fuel filters every 10,000 but thats just me

i do fuel every other oil change and i do oil changes every 3k i run rotella oil and i only use motorcraft filters for the oil and now that i got my airdog i will use only airdog filter for fuel as for additives in the fuel i use about 1oz of ashless TCW3 2 stroke oil to a gallon of fuel as a lubricant you can grab a gallon at walmart for about 10 bucks and run XDP fuel additive as well. this new ULSD is GARBAGE!! and needs all the help it can get imo

oil filter either mobil1 or motorcraft.
oil is up to you, i am running motorcraft its plenty cheap n good. 5 qt's instead of 4.
dello and rotella are well known and great too.
and synthetics will cost you alotttttt.
i go 4k between changes, i tow moderately and do lots of 6 mile trips to work and such so i dont want to go any longer..
fuel filters every 10K imo.
and air filters well i live in dirt so im going to be doing mine again soon here. gonna do a diy intake probably cuz its plenty cheap.
