I dont not know alot about chips or programers this will be my first ford i own i own right now a 1991 GMC 1500 with a 8 inch lift and 35 inch tsl boggers on it i never really played around with a 7.3 and the truck iam looking at has 177,000 miles it is a 2001 f250 it is a plane stock truck besides like new lockers in the front and a dts drive shaft and 4" exhaust. Iam looking to have a chip or a programer that i can set my truck the way i want to from in side the cab. I want to be able to change the settings for horsepower when i need it and for gas milliage when i want to too and all in between. Something that is easy to use and understand would be nice. Also what kind of gagues should i add to my truck when putting a chip or a programer in the truck so i can watch everything and not tear it apart.

TW, DP, PHP are soem favorites. they are all easy to operate. as for gauges youll want Pyro (EGT), boost and trans temp. firs ttwo are most important, the third is important if you tow. about everyone here will tell you to stay away from programmers, they are canned tunes. the ones we reccomnd are custom tunes.
welcome to the org! |

I agree..... custom tuned chip and a set of regular gauges and you will be all set... now the brand of gauges is your next choice.. you have glowshift, autometer, and isspro to choose from...
if you have any questions or need prices let me know -Raul |
