Still chasing HPOP issues
My 99 van started having problems w WOT about 2 months ago. It set a code for an IPR valve so I replaced it and it helped. Two weeks ago I went on a long trip and it started setting codes under a load. That code was for and ICP sensor. I replaced that and now its setting codes anytime I hit WOT. You can feel the engine lose power and it sets a code immediately. The SES light goes off at idle and stays off until you accelerate hard and it sets another code. I feel like I am getting close to the problem but not sure where to go next. Still have not ID the new codes. I'm gonna have to buy my own scanner at this rate. Everything is stock on my truck.

What are the codes?

I don't have a scanner so I'm not sure what the new codes are. I am going to try and borrow one and see what they are. Been relying on a shop that was not charging to see what the codes are as long as they did the work. They do business with me and I don't want to hit them uo again so soon. I'm gonna have to breakdown and get my own scanner.

Mississippi..too far I'm afraid. I tried today with a standard scan tool and it did not bring up histronic codes. The ses light will only come on under wot. It goes away at idle. Its doing something different with every fix. Its much better than when I started,,,like I said I think I'm really close.

Probably ICP or Overboost related. Chip or programmer on the van?

No its stock...trying to get the stock truck running right before I go down that road. But I do think it could be an ICP issue. I just chaged it before this latest set of ses lights.

May have found the issue. Codes were still showing voltage problems with the ICP. Wiggled wires and it went away. Traced wires back but did not find any problems but for now it seems to have gone away after putting every thing back. Connector looks ok so I'm gonna see if it holds.
