Engine noise
I have noticed a big difference in interior engine noise between a 2000
7.3L Powerstroke and 2003 7.3L Powerstroke. At a glance the trucks are pretty much identical. What did Ford do differently on the 2003 to make it so much quieter? |

Thats a god question ETM. I wish I knew the answer to that. That was the last year of the 7.3L, so they probably just worked out all the bugs. Kinda funny how when they work all the bugs out of a vehicle, they move on to something else, isnt it? Although, I do think they are doing a good job with the 6.0, lots more power.

Could it have anything to do with valve train tolerences?
