New Truck w/Pics & Questions

Hello all. I finally sold my Cummins and went back to the Powerstroke.
This is a 99. I dont know if it is early or not because the rocker sticker cannot be read any more.

My questions are:
The electrick door locks do not work. Sometimes one of the will work but it is very weak. When I push the door lock button you can hear the actuator but they will not lock/or unlock. Do I need to replace the actuators or could there be some thing else?

The switch assembly for the power seat on functions sometimes. Does anyone know where I can get a new switch assembly besides the Ford dealership?

Any help is appreciated.
-Shane

That's a sweet ride!
My wife would have a hard time with the car seat though.
She complained when she had to climb in this:

Take your door panels off and try to lube the door locks. They sometimes get sticky with dirt on mine and I have to lube them then all works good until the next cleaning.

There is a foil mod for making the power door locks work again if you are that much off a DIY person or you can change out the door lock actuators whichtend to get weak. I just put new front and rear passenger side actuators in my crew cab and because mine were weak and would barely move. Not enough to lock or unlock. Best deal I could find on them was from powerstrokeshop.com.

Yeah, someone needs to find that write up. I did my passenger side one. It took about an hour to get the damn thing out, 10 min to do the mod, and 45 min to put back in.

It locks like fort knox now.

If you are handy I would do it. It cost you some time and aluminum foil. Basically, there is a metal connection plate inside the window actuator. The actuator itself is "non-servicable" but anyone with a drill and a few bits can drill out the rivots.

You take the motor out, open it up, put aluminum foil around the little metal bar thingy and put it back together with little self tappers.

As for the power seats, a little lube usually helps that out.

Congrats on the new truck. It looks great.
