Transmission Problems

i have had a slight vibration for over a year now. it has gotten progressively worse, and the truck is now constantly vibrating under throttle and when i let of throttle until the rpms go way down. does not vibrate in park or neutral when revving.

what could i be dealing with here? tc, od, clutch slipping, or is it the tranny at all?

If it were an auto and something like that we going on for over a year I would think it would have broke by now.

Do you also have some slop or excessive play when leaving from a total stop each time. I have this same thing going on that feels like it's a u-joint about to let go and it will cause the vibration you are experiencing too.

Quick question, did the vibration start around the 3/4 to 1 ton conversion time....like said already sounds like a driveline problem...carrier bearing, u-joints, check pinion angle and so-on.....

the vibe started before the conversion... when i got the truck around 20 months ago i replaced all u joints and the carrier bearing.

NOTE: i just got under the truck, the rear diff. has a oil residue on it thats fairly new. also im getting some oil drip from the inspection pan on the front of the tranny and it def. motor oil. its dripping out of the little drip hole on there.

sounds like you got turbo orings or hpop rings needing to be replaced. it leaks down the valley and onto there. could be your ebpv rod too.

So vibration there before swap, vibration stayed same after swap,At this point then I would guess your driveline is probably OK then, now wondering if you should be looking towards the front end, like crank balancer/damper?, engine fan?
