found a great 7.3
other day i test drove a 99 7.3 4x4 lariet with 153k miles. it was a sons truck who just got sent off to germany for 3 years. the parents are wanting to sell it. they want $9500 obo. the son bought it then him and his wife moved to alabama and it sat in the garage for 2 years. never really drove it. thing looks brand new. like no one ever drove it. inside and out. i checked everything very well on the truck. but im a little puzzeled on the mpgs. when i was driving it i reset the mpg and i was getting 25 in the city and when i went on the highway i was getting 30 mpgs doing 70-75. truck has never had a programmer. everything has been stock since day one and the only thing that has been replaced is the vacuum. does that milage sound wierd to you at all? on the 7.3 i used too own i never got near those numbers.

My over head reads around 25-30 all the times. Cant trust them things at all.

mine always stays around 13.8 or 14.1, mostly city. The few times it is on the highway, if I reset it, I can get it to say about 15.3, but that is doing 55. I get up to 65 it is about 12.3, 70 is about 10.9
When I hand calculate it, mine is about -1 mpg off!!! so mine is close. Just wish it got better MPG on the stock form. It will get great millage when i am off training and not driving it!!!!

I dont know whats wrong with mine, before my TW it ran around 12-13 which is what i was getting. But i reset it when i put the TW in and its ran anywhere from 20-30, i think its around 26 right now. And im only getting about 17-18 hand calculated.

Sounds like a nice truck, lats see some pic's if you have any...
Never believe the MPG on the overhead, Mine says i can only go about 395 Km on a tank...lol -Henry

yeah thats what i was thinking because i know for a fact that the truck will never reach that height in mpgs. but im going back tomorrow to look at it again so ill get some pics then. they are holding it for me
