Power mirror help

Mine move but only one way. They struggle or else won't move at all coming back in. I bet they are just worn out.
thought about just replacing the motor in them, but can't find a place that sells just the motor. not sure how much cheaper it would be anyway.

So, want to replace them. Pulled the door skin and saw that my plug was rectangle or square type. Many of the Ebay mirrors were round type plug?

What's the difference?

Don't need heated. Just need power and maybe the style with turn signal indicator.

Im a new user here but i had your same problem with the paddel mirror. All the sudden it would go in and not go out on both mirrors. The fix on mine was not the mirror just the switch on the inside door panel by the window switches. I bought a used on on ebay for 25 bucks and i was up and running.

On a second note i just took the padel type heated mirrors with turn signals off of my excursion and replaced them with the telescoping type. The connectors are the same plug in but i have 7 wires on the new ones and only 6 on the old ones.

Once i pluged everything in and pushed the defrost button i blew a fuse. The power mirror and turn signals work fine but i guess the extra wire is for the heated part and i for the life of me cant figure out which one it is.
Im sure that there are answers on this forum but i just cant find them anywhere....
any help anyone????

Good to know on the switch.

Anybody else solve the moving in one direction problem with the switch rather than replacing the mirror?

I replace the switch on mine.
Any direction I would press the mirrors would go down. I found the switch for $16.99 on ebay.
They work great now.

I had the same issue on a 2002 and replaced the switch and fixed the mirror issues. It is pretty common problem the ford tech told me. Look for the simple fix and it is normally the right one.
