Post Any suggestions?

Hey everyone!!

Stumbled on to this forum the other day. It's great. In the past few days I think I've learned more about my truck than the seven months I've owned it.

Got an early 99 (3/98 build date) Canadian f-250 psd. The PO put on a 4 inch exhaust from turbo back. It does have a muffler on it. I'm going to put a diy tymar on this weekend and probably figure out a way for a little zoodad action. Got a new cps on order (thanks for the tip on new price change by the way!!!) since my truck has started giving me the telltale signs. Next up is buying gauges--probably a pyrometer and boost gauge. Going to probably try and shim the fpr at that time as well. Then I'm looking into a chip from probably DP. Not looking for anything too wild, but would like to wake up the beast that I know is hiding under the hood. Any suggestions on what else I can do short of new injectors or turbo? Thanks.

Welcome to Powerstroke.org

Sounds like you've got it planned out pretty well. The fpr shim, and 10K/18K mods are redundant, you only need to do one of them.

Just figured out that since I have an early 99 the zoodad mod won't work unless I can come up with a way to fab up a tube from the front grill to the filter. My intake comes off of the front fender. Anyone here fab up something for an early 99 like a box with an intake tube or something? Thanks.
