MPG issue

I have an 03 7.3 CC 4x4 with 49k on it and my mileage is at 13.3 per overhead display.

The mods on the truck are 35" tires, a DIY Tymar and Muffler delete. I have the EVBP and WG unplugged with stock tuning for now. I am putting guages in this weekend.

Next week is the DP F-5 and a BTS valve body.

Any thoughts why my mileage is so low? I drive conservately non HWY rds mostly to work at 45mph or so.
I know my display is off a little due to tires .9 on odo equals a mile as close to I can figure.

When they do your chip make sure they know you have 35 inch tires they may be able to adjust for it and then calculate your mileage The lie o meter isnt right even with stock tires

I have Stanadyne coming, I just wanted to make sure I didn't screw something up or was missing something. The last diesel I had was an 01 and I could get around 18 to 19 mpg, I just bought this one so the 13.3 was concerning me.

Xcracer,
you said that was according to the overhead console, right?
What are your calculations? I would figure it out on my own, and not trust that thing.

Mine was telling me between 15.1-15.4, when I was actually getting 17.5!
I've never got more than 570-600 miles in this truck before fueling up, yet when I do fill it up, the computer, in all it's infinite wisdom tells me that I have 780 miles to empty. I WISH!

Mine might be screwed up, and yours might be fine, but it's worth a check.

good luck
chris
