Proof my 2002 7.3 did not have a catalytic converter.

How can I prove my truck did/did not have a catalytic converter? I changed out the exhaust when I bought it 2 years ago and the stock system didnt have one. Now Im failing inspection because of it. This is the same guy that inspected my truck last year. I cant find an EPA sticker either.

The 99-03 7.3s only had a cat if they had the manual tranny, most autos didnt unless they were a Cali truck. Thats what ive read any way.

I called Ford and gave them the last 8 of my VIN and it showed a part number for it but I dont know for sure it it had one or not. Im starting to lean more to the not and I got the shaft by the previous owner. A new one is almost 500. Ford wants 2500!!!!!!! WTF

My 01 F550 doesn't have a cat. It's a 7.3/auto. I special ordered it, and I live in California. I don't think any of the 7.3's came with a cat. Mine also says "non-catalyst" under the hood.

Just becuase you live in Cali doesnt mean you got a Cali truck. And none of the SD 7.3 Auto's had cats that werent Cali's. Only manuals like i said.

Like I said, I ordered the truck, the window stickers says "ca emissions" or "california certified" or something to that effect. So living in California when I ordered it, and it being delivered it it HAD to be a california certified truck or DMV wouldn't have let it be registered.
