U joint?

When I hit the gas it kinda feels like it hesitates a little bit from a complete stop. Could this be my U joint?

Also does diesel shift differently than gas, like harder?

I just replaced my u-joints on my 02 f350. Symptoms were vibrations from 25-45 mph and a kind of thunking noise when I would start moving from a stop. Easy to check -- crawl under your truck and attempt to move the driveshaft around. Mine had significant play in it.
